Shilhne'ohli - Navaho (1907)
Hand-colored photogravure
Volume I

This ceremonial sand painting represents crossed logs whirling in a mythic lake. Upon them are signing male and female deities. The light figures are goddesses, Haschebaad, and the dark ones are gods, Haschebaku. The four large figures represent Haschelti (Talking God), Haschogan (House God), and two Ga'askidi (Gods of Harvest). Around the whole is the personified rainbow.
